Warcraft Patch 1.22 Released by Blizzard

Warcraft Patch 1.22 Released by Blizzard today. Just connect to one of the four servers and patch up. But a lot people complaining about some problem that will occurs.

I. If the patch 1.22 download won't start for you, try getting it using the other three servers.

II. If "war3.exe cannot be found", download the missing update (Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 SP1 Redistributable Package (x86)) from here.

FEATURES

- There is now a replay auto-save feature in the options menu. Replays
are automatically saved to the "replay" folder.
- The game is now automatically saved in the event of a potential
disconnect. These saved games are placed in the "save" folder.
- Player color selection can now be limited by the number of players in
the game using an option in the "Advanced Options" screen during game
creation.
- Added an option to always show unit and building health bars.
- You can now enable and disable the display of minimap signals
from players and other observers using chat commands:
/showminimapsignals and /hideminimapsignals.
- Added a new in-game cheat "maxfps" to limit the maximum frame rate to
the given number. Example: "maxfps 30" will set the maximum frame rate
to 30 FPS.

BALANCE CHANGES

HUMAN
- Scout Tower repair rate changed from 12 to 20.
- Knight damage increased: Attack cooldown changed from 1.50 to
1.40 and base damage increased from 25 to 28 (Average damage is 34).

UNDEAD
- Increased Ziggurat base armor from 1 to 5.
- Reduced the build time of the Necropolis from 120 to 100.

NIGHT ELF
- Reduce the Orb of venom poison duration from 10 seconds to 8 seconds.
- Increase the experience gain from Dryads from Level 2 (40xp) to
Level 3 (60 xp).

FIXES

- The cooldown on unlimited usable items (example: the staff of
preservation) now persists after the item is dropped or traded.
- A cooldown exploit with potions has been fixed.
- When you unburrow a Crypt Fiend, its auto-cast will no longer be toggled
off.
- An exploit bug in which items could lose their cooldowns when transferred
between heroes has been fixed.
- Fixed DotA-specific sound effects on Intel Macs.
- Fixed sound falloff on Intel Macs. Distant sounds should now still be
audible.

MAPS

- New maps from contest winners:
- (2)MeltingValley
- (2)RoadToStratholme
- (4)CentaurGrove
- (4)TidewaterGlades


The good news is, with Warcraft patch 1.22 the Mac user will now be able to hear "FIRST BLOOD" and the other anouncer sound when playing Dota-Allstars. We also have in game option to always see the health bar, nice! But there's also some issues that will occur when we are playing Dota-Allstars with Patch 1.22. The most reknown is the problem with the rune and lag. I hope this won't stop IceFrog to release Dota-Allstars 6.53 next week.

I'm still don't know how to upgrade to 1.22 without connect to server (offline), i know a lot of you want to do it. If some of you know how to do it, i will be happy if you share it in here :)

Dota-Allstars 6.53 Released Next Week - New Hero Added!

Dota-Allstars 6.53 will be released next week if everything working fine. IceFrog has said this in the forums. There will be balance and the most waiting change, new hero added! The other language version will also released, Chinese/Korean/Russian. Curious? This is the statement form IceFrog.

I'm sorry for the delay. When i said it was near, it was very close.. however some things came up that i'll explain below. The plan for 6.53 was: a new hero, balance changes, bug fixes, various mode improvements and most importantly the simultaneous release of the Chinese/Korean/Russian cross language compatible versions.

Because of the special nature of this event as it relates to the Asian audience, their satisfaction level with the translations was important. Soon after the quick 6.52d update, a final translation specific feature request was made (primarily by the Chinese communities) for inclusion before 6.53's worldwide release. Normally i'd save last minute requests for the following version, but because of how special this version was to the foreign communities, i decided to delay 6.53. My hope is that the final version will be ready in a week, but it'll depend on how the translation testing goes. It could be a bit before or after that.

Now Dota-Allstars 6.52d is a Stable Map!


At last, a new stable map is announced. If you check getdota.com, you can say sayonara to 6.48b and welcome the Dota-Allstars 6.52d as the new stable map. Maybe some of you didn't care about this matter, but a new stable map means a lot. The competitive game/ tournament of Dota-Allstars will use new map (even tough some of them already are). And the another good news is, a new stable map means RGB/LazyFiend will make us another AI map! Yay! At least that's what he promised us.

Another thing is, if you check the getdota.com, you maybe notice that the Dota-Allstars AI link is replaced with Beta Tester Sign up. I hope this change doesn't mean IceFrog is decreased his support to AI map section. AI map section is important, especially for those want to learn or only have a single PC without connection.

Dota-Allstars 6.52c Bug/ Exploit on Syllabear

Dota-Allstars 6.52c Bug/Exploit. At last i found some clue about the bug/exploit on 6.52c, it's on Syllabear. You maybe still remember the Dota-Allstars 6.49b Lanaya bug? This one is even more game breaking. You can duplicate items using Syllabear. That's why IceFrog release Dota-Allstars 6.52d and cannot wait until 6.53. Here is the step and the video about it.

After Syllabear has level 4 Spirit Bear, use this trick.

1. Make your Spirit Bear health under 1000 and you can start to deny it, but don't deny it yet.
2. Place the items you want to duplicate in the Spirit Bear, the video place 2 desolator on the bear. (still not sure, maybe you must have 2 of it?)
3. Start denying your bear while take and drop the item on the Syllabear.
4. After the Spirit Bear died, revive him and voila! Your item is duplicated.

To be honest, when i wrote this post, i'm still in the office and cannot try it. But, the moderator of DotaPortal and some forums said that the bug/exploit on Dota-Allstars 6.52c is indeed on Spirit Bear. Thus, that video make me sure about it. Curious? Why don't you try it and post it in here about the result. If i'm giving you the wrong step, i will fix it after i try it. Cheers!! :)

PS: Cheating is ruining the game, only use this trick for fun ;)

Dota-Allstars 6.52d Official Map Free Dowloads

Another patch of this version is released, 6.52d. I think this is the first time a Dota-Allstars map reach "d" version. There's not much change, just a patch to fix a major exploit on Dota-Allstars 6.52c (i will try to find it). And the another good news is, 6.53 is soon to be released and if you're Korean/Chinese/Russian, IceFrog will release the the official map with those language.

Dota 6.60c - Dota-Allstars 6.60c Map Download News

Dota 6.60cDota 6.60c - Dota-Allstars 6.60c Map News and Update. The recent release Dota-Allstars 6.60 map is contains some bug/exploit which we already covered on Dota 6.60 bug post. To fix them IceFrog already released Dota 6.60b several days after Dota 6.60. But i believe some bugs still exist on Dota-Allstars 6.60b and there's a chance that there will be Dota 6.60c.

Dota-Allstars 6.51 AIplus 1.52 Revision 3 Map Free Download - Updated!

He fixes some bugs on Dota-Allstars 6.51 AIplus 1.52 Revision 2 and added more heroes on the fun tavern. (i like the damn old Rikimaru!) And what makes you want to download this map is he added -ng (normal gold, just like -ne, normal exp). I really wanna this mode so the AI don't have more gold with the same amount of time with us.

After a long hiatus, I'm back.

Just uploaded a third revision, changelog is as follows:
-Fixed bug with Voodoo Restoration not costing mana to use
-Fixed speed and stun times on Paralyzing Casks to be the same as in 6.51 and on
-Fixed Silencer dropping his inventory (hopefully)
-Changed the way gold is distributed to Normal AI so that they get the proper amount
-Implemented a temporary fix for Luna using Eclipse (for AI, it behaves like Eclipse in 6.48b)
-Removed N'aix from showing up taverns in -ai and -aa modes
-Added Old Morphling (5.84b) to Fun Tavern
-Added Old Stealth Assassin (5.84b) to Fun Tavern
-Added Normal Gold AI mode -normgold or -ng
-Restored 6.51 pathmap, hopefully this will help with creep pathing issues

As mentioned in my last post like a month ago, the item purchasing system was all screwed up with the Assault Cuirass, and I've fixed it this time...maybe. It's so hard to tell since reports are so varied, but I haven't had problems with this since, so let's hope it works for real this time.

Added a normal gold mode (-normgold or -ng), since I think people really wanted to see that. Like the other modes, it should be typed in the beginning of the game with everything else (i.e. -apng).

Addressed the issues with Witch Doctor I think, as far as I can tell he seems to be working properly.

Normal AIs now get the proper amount of gold, they were getting the same as Insane AIs before...surprise surprise!

I've also restored the 6.51 pathmap using the original 6.51 map, hopefully this will change those pathing issues that people keep mentioning (I'm not really sure what changed exactly so I don't know what to look for).

As for the item purchasing stuff, I've checked, and it seems as though most of the item costs haven't really been changed...I know I only changed the ones that involved recipe reworks. As such, it is possible that some AIs are buying ulti orbs for 2300 and Buriza recipe for 1250 or what not, but I haven't changed it yet. Looking at 6.52, the way AIs purchase items will need to be completely reworked anyway, so I'll deal with it then. That said, now's probably the time to mention which builds need to be altered and which ones don't, so I can address that as it arises.

Note that 6.52's changes are pretty monstrous, so it'll probably be several weeks before I get something out. I should be checking the board more often from now on, so feel free to leave bug reports, feedback, item build suggestions/links to good guides with good item build suggestions, etc. That, or cookies, because cookies are nice too.

Some Cool Dota-Allstars Movies

Remember PizzaSlice? The one who make Dota: The Final Hour? Yeah, he is my favourite Dota-Allstars movie maker. His work is soooo movies, not like the other who just a compilation of replay with a random background music. I think he is the best Dota-Allstars movie maker right now.

And.. Recently he make another two movies which i highly recommend. Here's the first one, Noob Supremacy: Volume 2!. This movie is scenes of what-so-called a noob. You will saw it with laughter :)



The second one is a movie about Rikimaru, Rikimaru's Precious.
To enjoy this one, you must watch this as a movies :)



How about that? Nice isn't it? At least you can watch it to fill the gap until Dota-Allstars 6.53 is out :)
