Warcraft III Replay Converter - Patch 1.22 to Patch 1.23

Dota Replay Converter from Patch 1.22 to Patch 1.23. After upgrading into Warcraft III 1.23 Patch, a usual problem arise. Yup, we can no longer watch the Dota-Allstars or another Warcraft III game replay which still played with Warcraft 1.22 Patch. On the previous version, i already mention how to Watch 1.21b Replay after 1.22 Patch Installed. Even tough it's not practical, but it works. But, in this version, someone is creating a great tools. With this tools, you can convert your replays with ease and you can see them again.

Dota 6.59d - Dota-Allstars 6.59d Official Map Download (Released!)

Dota 6.59d Official Map will be released in 1-2 days to fix some exploit on previous Dota 6.59c. IceFrog said that he doesn't want to wait until Dota 6.60 released to fix this exploit (which means Dota 6.60 will still take some times ~_~).

Update: Now it's already released! Check this post for the Dota 6.59d changelogs and download links.

Dota 6.59d Changelogs:

* Fixed some item exploits
* Fixed a rare memory related bug
* Temporarily changed switch voting system. It requires 100% of the vote for now. There will be a better -switch implementation in the next version or two
* Fixed a few other misc bug/exploits


6.60 is still in very active development. I will try to post more updates about it when it gets closer to release. If you have any suggestions you'd like to offer for it, please email me and let me know.

Warcraft Patch 1.23 Released! - Adios Dota Maphack!

Warcraft III 1.23 Patch now is in Beta stage released and available on Westfall and other server. Ok, so what? What's the benefits of this patch for us Dota Player? Well, after i read the changelogs, i cannot helped to say that this Warcraft 1.23 patch is created solely to support Dota-Allstars. I think Blizzard is really love Dota-Allstars. Curious? But before i go through, it'd better if you read the official statement from Battle.net first:

You may notice that the Westfall realm is available on your Warcraft III Battle.net list. The Westfall server has the beta Warcraft III 1.23 patch that can be applied by connecting to Westfall. Please keep in mind that Technical Support does not support the beta client. For patch and game discussion, please use the Warcraft 3 forum - http://forums.battle.net/board.html?forumId=12012&sid=3000

To revert your game back to 1.22, just select one of the main realms.
If you cannot connect to Westfall, it's probably down or not ready.

Ok, now read this part once more, Fixed an exploit where an altered custom map would be seen identical to the original custom map. This means, if there's someone play using hacked map (where the fog is turned off), it will be seen and cannot play with the original map. Neat! But sadly, this will also means we cannot use multiple language map in one game. We must use exactly the same map. But i prefer no maphack than multiple language map ^_^
(Edit: Someone says that the multiple language still work, must confirm this again)

Can't wait until This patch is officially released ;)

Update:
How to upgrade the patch? There's several way to upgrade into Warcraft 1.23 Patch..
1. Connect to BattleNet server and it will update automatically
2. Using the downloadable stand alone patch, check this post to Update Warcraft 1.23 Patch Offline

Update Warcraft 3 Patch 1.23 Offline - How to..

How to Update Warcraft 3 Patch 1.23 Offline, Download-able. As you know, Blizzard has just released Warcraft 1.23 Patch. Of course, if you can connect to BattleNet server, you will be upgrade with ease automatically. But i believe there's still many of you who cannot connect there and want to update the 1.23 patch offline.

And here is how to Update Warcraft 3 Patch 1.23 Offline:
First, you can check the ftp page for download various version of 1.23 patch on this page and find the downloadable patch that suit your version. But if you are using English (enUS) version, here is the download link to upgrade from Warcraft Patch 1.22 to Warcraft Patch 1.23.

You must note that there's a possibility you will failed to patch up and in some condition you must re-install Warcraft 3 TFT and repatch again to successfully upgrade. Please share your experience here as it can help another people who want to patch this too.. :)

If you failed to update with previous step, try this step. I found it on Dota-Allstars Forums.

These are the three easy steps for you to update your WarCraft III from 1.22 ---> 1.23

Step 1:
Copy your WarCraft III version 1.22 Folder in your Program Files or which directory you have placed it. So if for example you had it this way.

C:\Program Files\Warcraft III
(This is the 1.22 version of WC3, the reason why it is recommended to be copied is because you may not be able to view your 1.22 replays if ever you want to view them. I got loads of replays so yeah.)

copy it then it should be

C:\Program Files\Copy of Warcraft III
(This will be the directory of your 1.23 patch, after doing step 3 rename this folder to whichever name you like but i prefer renaming it to "WarCraft III 1.23")

Step 2:
Download the .dll files and .mpq files for patch 1.23 here - http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?vjvzxyzzfwj

Step 3:
Extract the downloaded file to your newly copied folder. Copy the files inside the folder you just extracted. Paste it on the main WC3 directory(C:\Program Files\Copy of Warcraft III) A message will be asked whether to replace the existing files on your folder, Answer Yes and you're good to go!

Play Dota AI Map on Patch 1.23 - How to..

Confuse why you cannot play Dota AI Map after update to Warcraft 1.23 Patch ? You're not alone. I made this post because a lot of people is also asking why they cannot see the Dota-Allstars AI Map after upgrade their patch into 1.23. And here is some way to show the map:

1. Rename the map name into something shorter.
Example :
Dota 6.59 AIPlus 1.52 Rev.1 to
Dota 6.59 AIPlus

2.Remove the original map from the same folder.
Example:
If your Dota 6.59 map is in the same folder with your Dota 6.59 AI, then you must move your AI map into different folder.

I hope this short article is useful for you while waiting for Dota 6.60 ;)

Dota 6.59c Bug - Dota-Allstars 6.59c Exploit. After knowing that IceFrog will release Dota 6.59d, i believe that there's serious bug/exploit on Dota 6.59c. After searching for a while, i found it and want to share it with you guys ^_^ The bug is on Armlet of Mordiggian. If you follow the step on this video, you will be able to activate Armlet without losing any HP! Woot!!! No i'm not wondering why he has to release Dota-Allstars 6.59d before Dota 6.60 ~_~

Mirana Arrow Training Map

Well, after the Pudge hook training map, here comes training map for Mirana arrow. Aiming Mirana arrow is the second hardest skill to master after Pudge hook. Well, i can say Pudge hook harder because it can hit your allies while Mirana arrow can goes through your allies.

This map provide you with several course of training. Like blind arrow to the going invisible Rikimaru, simple arrow to moving enemies, and even arrow to juggling enemies (damn, this one is hard!). Honestly, i find the Pudge training is more fun than this one, but it still great for training.

Pudge Hook Training Map

Pudge the Butcher is probably one of the most hardest hero to master on Dota-Allstars. Especially his Meat Hook, it's need a lot of training to master the timing of this hook. And i found a map that will help you master this hero. Actually, this is very old map, i read this in a forums long time ago. But i would like to share it here because i think it will be useful for newbie or even veteran that want to train Pudge. Of course you can train in the pub game, but the probability you will be flamed is very high ^^ Training with Dota 6.59 AI map also helpful, but since the AI (i think) can react the moment you press the Meat Hook button, it's really annoying ~_~

In this map, there's 7 kind of training. From just a single hero running with same pattern, a hero entering your blind spot, or even a hero running around behind some running creep (this one is really hard ^^). This map will give you 10 chance for each training. On each chance you only can try Hook your target 1 time. After 10 time, the score will be given. I'm sure, this map will train your feeling and timing with the Pudge :)

Dota-Allstars Database DHG v1.4 & DIG v1.3 (Updated 6.59c)

Wow, i actually find this great tools a moment ago but just had the time to post it now. This Dota-Allstars database is really great in my opinion. Very recommended for new player that wanted to learn skills and items details. Even for veteran player that want to know the latest update on items or hero skills, this tools will be handy.

The Dota-Allstars Database program can be download as EXE file or SWF (need Flash Player). The Dota Hero database EXE file size is 14 Mb and on SWF is 10 Mb. The size is not small, but it's worth it. After you download it, you will feel like you have Dota Encyclopedia in your hand. Thumbs up for the creator!

Battle.Net Gateway Editor Download | How to Set New Gateway

Battle.Net Gateway Editor Download. If you're gonna play Dota-Allstars on private server (PVPGN), you will need Battle.Net Gateway Editor to add new gateway. By default, there's only 4 channel on your Warcraft 3 Gateway, you can see it in the picture above. By using this Blizzard Battle.Net Gateway Editor, you can add/modify/remove gateway on Starcraft, Diablo 2/Diablo 2 Expansion and Warcraft 3. 

How to Set New Warcraft Battle.Net Gateway

1. First download the Gateway Editor from the download link in the end of this post.
   
2. After that, put the file into your Warcraft 3 Directory.
3. Open the file and you will get a window opened like the first picture.
4. Choose the WarCraft3 tab.
5. Click add gateway.
6. Fill with your server information.
7. Name -> You can fill this with whatever name you want. This will be the gateway name.
8. Zone -> Fill with number. You can check this on your PVPGN server.
9. IP -> It can be an IP address like 192.168.1.24 or a domain name like public.indogamers.us 
10. Click OK, you're done.

Please note that sometime you must exit your Warcraft 3 before the new gateway added appear on the list. Have fun!
